Titleimage: Research Center for Digital Sustainability

The Research Center for Digital Sustainability is situated at the Institute of Information Systems at the University of Bern and was founded in 2014 with the support of the CH Open Association. The Research Centre offers teaching, research, education and services in the areas of digital sustainability, open source software, blockchain and smart contracts, open data, linked data, smart city, open government and public procurement. It currently employs 15 staff members who work closely with researchers from the Institute of Information Systems and other departments of the University of Berne (IMU, IOP, KPM, CDE, GIUB) as well as the Universities of Lugano (USI), Basel (CEPS), Fribourg (iimt) and ETH Zurich (NADEL).
